Why Oh Why??

So my husband and I are going on vacation next week!! We haven't been on vacation in over a year because of Student Teaching and then looking for a position!!! Now the summer is here and great book our trip~!!

Well Guess what Now all the schools are calling him for interviews the week we are away!!!! Why is this happening!!!!

I'm sorry, and I'm happy that he's getting interviews at the same time!!

That stinks for you guys, but it is great that he is getting calls.....maybe you can reschedule for later in the summer....good luck to him!

Well he had to tell them no we will be out of state. It is his sisters wedding!!!!!
So he told them if they could do it the week after we get back they said for him to call and see what progress they made!!! So upset why now!!!!!

Believe it or not the next week or so are a big time for interviews. The end of the school year has winded down. The new administrators start July 1st and Summer School has begun so there is a place to do demo lessons.

the next couple of weeks are huge for interviews - my friend had quite a few of them around this time last and even had to do a demo lesson the day after her wedding last summer - dont stress about being on vacation though - if it is meant to be they will work with you

this EXACT thing happened to me. DH and I had booked a trip to Alaska for the middle of August of '06. We booked it in February, and in April I found out I was being excessed.

I had two initial interviews that went wonderfully in July...and they BOTH wanted me during that week. Unfortunately, in the end, neither school would budge on the date and I missed out on BOTH positions!!!

I truly believe that things will fall into place when it's the right situation. Me not being able to land another job on LI lead to us moving here to NC, where we are much happier.

Thanks girls I just hope it works out for him!!! He is going to call them while we are on vacation to see how the progress went with the people they were interviewing if possible he can set something up when we get back!! We are only going for a week and then the rest of the summer home!! So mad!!!

I understand your frustration (we never even went on a HM) but at least he's getting calls

What is he certified in?

The year I started teaching we had to move around our vacation by a week due to new teacher orientation.
