Yogi barks at us!!!

Out 8 month old puppy barks at us all the time! Sometimes he does it when we won't give him the food we are eating, sometimes it he does it when he wants us to play with him. How do we get him out of the habit of doing this? It is driving us both crazy!!!

OMG Jersey is also 8 mo. and this is her new thing- barking at us! It is also driving us crazy. I wish I had some advice, but I'm looking for some myself.

I would love some help on this topic too, Bella is a 1 and 1/2 and does it all the time. She will bark to go out (low whimpy bark) she will bark to play (puppy-like bark) she will bark when she wants food/water, and to top it all off she barks at any unusual noise or person walking by (mean loud bark)

The one thing we do to get her to stop barking at us that sometimes works, is if we put a pillow or something covering our face and she can't see us, she will get frustrated and walk away.

One thing our trainer had told us to do regarding any negative behavior... have a coffee can with pennies in it or anything to make noise. When your dog starts doing any negative behavior, shake the can and make a very loud noise. When your dog is startled and stops the negative behavior (barking in this case), start praising him or her like crazy. Hope this works
