Anyone seen Man vs. Wild on discovery??
DH has it on and I can't believe the things this guy does!! He gets dropped off somewhere and teaches you how to survive... right now he is cutting up a fresh zebra carcas and eating the meat that is left on it!

we watch it all the time. today there is a marathon that dh is recording.
he's freaking in LOVE with this guy, for good reason.
he is awesome. the stuff is does is but incredible at the same time.
I watched him par boil a goats eye in volcanicly heated water and eat it
he is my hero! literally. the show is amazing, and I am learning.
it's making me want to take some kind of wilderness survival course.

I just can't believe he actually does it. DH was telling me about it and I thought he meant that he just kinda explained step by step what you could do, but he actually does it... like it's nothing!

the Alaska one is nuts. his boat starts to sink while he's crossing from one iceberg to another and he has to swim through glacial waters!

OMG, I FREAKIN' LOVE THIS SHOW!!! I'm obsessed with it, really. DH is convinced I'm in love with the guy, but Anyone who can rip into a live salmon they just plucked out of the water is WAY too intense for me 
There's another show - survival man - not quite as engaging or interesting, but it's more "real"

And, you know what's scarier? Last night's episode was a trout he battered out of the river, and then knocked in the head with a rock. The "plucking a live salmon from the water and taking a bit fat chunk out of it immediately thereafter" is from a totally different episode.
Guess this guy REALLY likes his sushi!

he served in the British special forces
he is the first person to circumnavigate the brisith isle on a jetski.
he is a royal nutter.
ETA: I think the camera man is always somehow safe...in protective gear with all the protective stuff.
the crew is only allowed to help him if he is in MORTAL danger.
