? for those of you who think you might be "DONE" having kids..
The question of a tubal ligation was brought up in my last appointment on monday... Because of all the stress both pregnancies caused to my body, I am EXTREMELY nervous about having more kids naturally..
DH and I always wanted a large family.. but I dont see it possible with all the complications and back problems I have experienced..
Has anyone had or thought of a tubal ligation, and if so.. how old are/were you?? TIA

We discussed this for when we are done. It wouldn't be so bad for me since I will already be having a c-section but my theory is I carry them, and have to have surgery to birth then my DH can go get snipped Fair is fair but he doesn't agree so we are working on this one  My Mom had it done around 40.

I would suggest not getting one if you are in your child bearing years. What if something happens and you want to have more children? My SIL had placenta previa with her last pregnancy and was talked into getting one by her Dr and now realizes that she doesn't want one.

I am definatley getting it !!! My midwife told me that they do it the day after i deliver. I have 4 kids from a previous marriage a and i am on #2 with DH so 6 is enough!!!!! Im 31

My mother wanted it after my sister but was talked out of it because she was only 35, but my sister was child #4. 5 years later my mom had my brother so after him she had it done and my mothers still faught her on it because he felt she weas still young to have it done, she was 40.

I thought of it until the last time I went off the pill to get pregnant and my periods lasted 2 weeks!! I have decided to stay on the pill until menopause. My periods are light and are only 2 days a month!!
