Every teacher in NYC gets 245 to spend on your classroom...Keep ALL receipts and then you get a check for the amount around December and you must turn in the receipts in March I believe.

For special ed NYC teachers it is 215. Tax is not included so make sure you get the tax exempt card!

Your school secretaries will give you one through the mail or you can go pick it up. Don't buy with tax bc you won't get it back!

And carry that tax exempt paper with you everywhere! Sometimes Michaels will honor it.
