Interview today
I told my new manager that I had some personal things to tend to. And off I go. I left really early because I didnt know how parking would be where I had to go. I know the building is on Main street (that is the actual name) and the area is like downtown Manhattan. I was lucky and found a spot right outside the building. I was 20 min early.
The person I was to actually meet with Graham, he was on the phone and asked 2 guys to come out and talk with me. They were dressed so casual. One had on khaki shorts and a bahamas shirt, the other guy had on jeans and a polo. They apologized that Graham is on the phone but did not want to keep me sitting by myself so he asked they to come and talk with me and do an introduction.
So these 2 guys tell me about the company and what they do.
Then one gets up and says I'll check on Graham to see if he is available. So he leaves and Jamal is still talking to me. We talked about NY and the weather. Very casual. Then the khaki short man comes back and says Graham is finishing up his call he will be here in a minute. Apologized again for the delay.
Graham comes in. Tall British man. He sits in the chair across from me and I dont know why I noticed this, but he raised his chair. I read somewhere that this is a psycological thing that a big shot does to show they are above you. So he goes on about the company, the position, about my skills, blah blah blah. He says oh you know who you should really meet, Jen. She is the person that this position will work very closely with and you should really meet her. OK. So he gets Jen. OMG Jen and I clicked like were old school friends. She comes from NY. And not just anywhere in NY, Maspeth. Her and I were talking about the neighborhood, diners, pizza places, the city and it was great. We were having such a great conversation. Time just flew by. She said she really liked me and my personality.
When we were done, she gets Graham. Graham gave me the ok well I'll be making a decision within the next 2 weeks. Next week I am traveling to Chicago on family business but when I return a decision will be done.
Ok, thank you....and I leave.

Re: Interview today
Thanks my fingers and toes are crossed
The cruise is fully paid for, I'll loose money if I have to cancel so IF I get offered the job I am going to mention the vacation has been planned and paid for. I dont think that would be a problem. They seemed like a really nice group.
