Holy Cr ap it worked!

My daughter has always needed the swing or to be rocked to sleep. Well I have not put her in a her swing the last 2-3 nights or for her naps. Anyway we went to the dr today and he said put her in her crib while she is still awake but sleepy and she will go. I did that she cried for a few minutes. I picked her up, rocked her. Put her back in the crib still awake and left the room and I'll be damned she went to sleep on her own I just pray that every night will be this easy! Sorry I just had to share my pure excitement!

Congrats!! I hope it works every night.

I can't wait for that moment. I've tried it a few times and DS just cries for almost an hour. When i go in his room to put the pacifier back in his mouth he just clutches my arm and won't let go.

lay down on the floor in his room so he can see you;re still there, and then when h finally gives in and falls asleep you can crawl out of there. This worked wonders or my daughter since she had the security of knowing I was right there but learned to like sleeping in her crib at the same time.
