hanburger question
Has anyone every marinated burgers? My DH said that his friend marinates his burgers (sometimes with terriyake sauce and they taste amazing.
If i were to do this, how long do i marinated it for? Or do i just splash some terriyaki sauce on them before putting them on the grill? By the way, i'm a dummy when it comes to cooking! TIA

Re: hanburger question
I don't think you can marinate chopped meat...it will break down while its marinating.
Im sure you can put some teriyaki sauce on them before you pur them on the grill

I agree. Or even maybe mix it together right beforehand. Too much moisture will make them break apart on the grill.

Re: hanburger question
We did the "Lea and Perrins Worchester" burger once, the one they advertise on TV. For that, you mix up the ground beef with the sauce in a bowl before you form the patties.
You could do the same for the terryaki sauce.
We didn't really like the L&P burgers. They tasted good, but when I want a hamburger, I want it to taste like a hamburger, not a piece of steak.

Re: hanburger question
i was gonna say you could put some sauce in with the meat before you make the burgers- right before you put them on the grill. i've done it before with worcheshire sauce- just sprinkle a little bit of the sauce in the meet and then make the meat into burger patties

Re: hanburger question
I always put some worcestershire sauce or bbq sauce on my burgers before I put them outon the grill, also, sometimes I make burgers with chopped onions and mustard/bbq sauce in them. They have a lovely flavor when I do that.

Re: hanburger question
Thanks everyone. i ended up just putting the terriyaki sauce on top before putting them on the grill. i stabbed the burgers with a fork a little so it would seep through. My Dh said they tasted really good. Thanks again
