So sick of onsies as the main staple of DS wardrobe

I know it sounds ridiculous, since he is only 8 weeks, but I just think they look..."eh". I love the baby polo and button down shirts, which I can find plenty of, but shorts & pants in NB sizes.,..not so muchChat Icon.
Not that I want him to grow any quicker, mind you, but I'd love for the designers to give more options

I'm sorry!
I'm in the opposite situation! Lily has so many cute outfits that she rarely wears just a onsie! Chat Icon

Me too!!

But I was looking through my 3-6 clothes (which are probably still a month offChat Icon ) and I seem to have a lot more outfits in that size, more pants and polos and stuff.

So I guess we just have to be patientChat Icon

I was totally b!tching to MIL the other day that there are sooooo many more clothes for baby girls! We went to the sale at Old Navy. There were at least 7 or 8 racks of NB through 6 mos for girls, but only 2 for boys!Chat Icon

Bella only fits into her newborn onesies!!! So I know what you mean. Thank god Carters makes cute ones, but since we really haven't gone out and been social, I just didn't feel the need for her to be a fashion diva yet Chat Icon I'm dying to dress her up in an outfit though and take her out and about. She's got so many cute outfits, but the 0-3's are HUGE on her.

Did you try Gymboree or Target or something. They should have the knit shorts. I had Steven in the winter, but pants were plentiful. Actually, I probably had too much!

We were just at Target yesterday, and they had 0 - 3's (albiet a small selection) but no NBs. DS has no hips or butt, and the skinniest legs ever (just like his daddy) so the 0 - 3's swim on him.Chat Icon

Don't worry. He'll be out of NB before you know it. Then you can get all the cool stuff for the fall. I really like the boy stuff that is out now, nothing like back in the day when my brothers were babies and everything was baseball and cars. Now they have great stuff!

ETS: I also wanted to say...I have about 10 pairs of shorts and Steven hardly wears them. he is in the onsie most of the time anyway because of the heat.

I was just thinking the same thing.

ALL my 0-3 stuff is onesies. NONE of my 3-6 is.

He never wears anything but a onesie, it's going to be strange!!

Target has these soft little drawstring shorts and pants - very light cotton - for 3.99 - they are the best!

I rarely have him in just onesies - I always have him in outfits - since the day he was born!

She has so much cute clothing, but during the week when its just her and I, I feel like shes so much more comfortable in a onsie. I have a few different pairs of solid cotton shorts that I will throw on top if we run out somewhere. I save the outfits for the weekends.

Re: So sick of onsies as the main staple of DS wardrobe

When DS was a newborn, I got him a lot of outfits at Little Me. They carry Little Me at Lord and Taylor. Also, Ralph Lauren had some one piece shorts (like a onesie with shorts at the bottom) that were really cute. I found those at Bloomie's and Lord and Taylor. (He is 6 now, but things can't have changed THAT much.)
