What is going on?
I'm 30...I didn't think I would be having acne problems at this stage in the game. I'm getting acne around my jawline and I feel little bumps under my skin. I already went to the dermatologist and she gave me ziana to use once a week, but I feel that it's not working.
What are you girls using for face cleansers?
TIA

Re: What is going on?
Between Proactive and Physicians Formula my skin has gotten a lot better. It's not perfect, I don't think I'll ever have perfect skin but I can live with it.

Re: What is going on?
Are you cleaning your cell phone and desk phone every day. The dirt that can transfer to your face is disgusting.
That may help.

Re: What is going on?
I use cetaphil or any gentle skin cleanser and it works well. I found that my problem with breakouts is the makeup I use. I recently switched to Physcians Formula Mineral wear and have not had a breakout since. I have used Proactive in the past and it just made my skin really really dry and didn't help with acne.

Re: What is going on?
I've tried Physicians Formula, Neutragena Face Wash, Proactive, Cetaphil (which is what I'm using now) and Clean N Clear. Nothing seems to work.
I think I might clean my phone daily. Sometimes I rest the phone on my shoulder and that's where my breakout are...

Re: What is going on?
my DH started to use the Neutrogena Acne face wash & has seen great results. Nothing else seemed to work on his skin. He has very oily skin & is always prone to getting breakouts especially in the summer months

Re: What is going on?
definitely definitely definitely clean the phones - it makes a big difference!
Also, I once heard (from somewhere I don't remember) that breakouts on the chin/jawline are hormonal.

Re: What is going on?
I just remembered before being PG I used to take Nicomide every day. It is a zinc supplement. It really helped me and had no side effects. Ask your derm about it.
