I haven't rsvp'd. DH and I are on the fence. It's kind of expensive and being that DH & I are vegetarians, it's not like we're going to be eating anything there. I'd like to go to meet other adoptive families, but heard it wasn't that great of a gathering for the price.  What do you think? R U going?

Hey Susan,
I agree in some ways it's not that great of a gathering for the price. However, that being said, Hunter always has a wonderful time, and I think it is so great to be around so many families, "just like us" He talked about it for months last time.
We do this event rather than the Christmas party. Let me know if you plan on going so we can meet!

I adopted from China with an agency other than NB. You were talking about gathering with families just like yours, and I had to share. I belong to FCC LI, Families With Childeren from China, Long Island and they are the most wonderful group of people I have ever met. They have meetings for the families and special Mom's night out, we all bring a dish and share very special mommy adult talk, lol. They organize play groups and so much more. Please let me know if you are interested in contact info.

I am assuming you are w/ the Sayville area group? I met a woman in CVS who belongs---our friends from Brookhaven belong and New Beginnings recommends it highly. I will fill out the on line form----I did join the yahoo groups FCCLI----
