Anyone an Ultrasound Tech?

I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. This is the new thing on my mind. Anyone have any info or advice to share? What kind of schooling do you go to for this? How long is the program?

I wanted to do this so bad! I still want to but I am holding off for now.

I was going to enroll in a new program at Dowling last June... but the problem is the program wasn't accredited so a lot of students (including me) backed out. I don't think they are running that program until they are accredited. It was a 1 year program. I keep checking their website for updates, non yet. The program was $20K.

there is another program at sanford brown in garden city that is 16-20 months long and more $ then dowling.

Wow, I didn't realize the program would be so much money. I am in NC so I guess I will have to look into schools here. Do you know around how much a ultrasound tech earns? Can you tell I am at the very beginning stages of this research!
