charting frustrations

i have been off bcp for four months and charting. my first cycle was 40 days and i o'd on day 27. this cycle is past 27 days and no o in sight. my temps are erratic despite the fact that i temp religiously (same time every morning, no drinking the night before, etc.). my cycles were irregular before i went on the pill (10 years ago) and now they seem to be just as crazy. the fact that i haven't o'd yet this cycle is making me nervous (i think i'm anovulatory). i have a dr. appointment on the 26th & i'll discuss my options with him. i doubt my cycles will ever be a normal 28 (or so) days.

for those of you who have taken medication to regulate your cycles and bring on o (clomid, provera), what was your experience? i've been reading the anovulatory boards on FF to get more info.

it's so frustrating that my cycles aren't normal-it makes ttc that much more difficult. Chat Icon

Re: charting frustrations

Don't worry annie. I think going to the doctor is the best thing to do. They will do a bunch of bloodwork and figure out, if your hormones are perhaps too low or elevated. They can usually fix this with the proper medication :)

Re: charting frustrations

That sounds like me earlier this year. No discernable pattern in temping, no surge line on OPKs, erradic CM (EW several times in a month).

I even went 105 days without AF!!

As Michelle said, the doc did some blood work and my hormone levels weren't where they needed to be and he started me on Clomid.

Every situation is different, but I recommend that you take as much information with you as you can when you go to the doctor. I printed out my charts and brought them with me for my first visit, which helped provide some insight.

Good luck & Baby Dust!!!
