what to pack for a cruise?
We're leaving on our cruise to Bermuda August 5 and I really haven't thought about packing yet. I know there is a formal night so I have a really cute cocktail dress. Other than that I know to pack bathing suits and the usual stuff. Is there anything specific I should remember? Are shorts and tanks mostly ok? Or should I pack more formal outfits?

I think it depends on your cruise line... which are you going on? Some are more fancy then others... with Norwegian, everything is casual... the only rule was no shorts in the dining rooms for dinner...

Re: what to pack for a cruise?
If you are going to be spending a lot of time in a pool or off the boat don't bring too many regular outfits. You will probably live in your bathing suit. We used to bring half of what we thought we needed. Also, you probably need to dress nicely for dinner- no jeans or shorts usually (at least on the cruises we've been on!)
Things you may not have thought of... a travel alarm clock sea bands plug in air freshener bottled water (expensive on the ship) water cameras water wallet
There is a great cruise chat forum, cruisemates.com, that have lots of lists and information. If I think of anything else I'll post again!

Sometimes the rooms are a little musty depending on your location. I usually bring that or a candle anytime I stay in a hotel. If you are in an intereior room I would also recomment a nightlight!

Re: what to pack for a cruise?
I always find it to be very cold in the shows. They like to crank the AC... so bring a sweater
