How do I stop breastfeeding?
I've been bf'ing for 7 weeks and have had mastitis twice already. Now I have a huge abscess that is infected on my right breast that needs to be cut and drained on Monday. I've come to the conclusion that I want to stop bf'ing. DS usually only feeds on one breast and then I have to pump out the other one to avoid engorgement/infection. So it's a lot more work with bf'ing, pumping, washing bottles, etc. and I'm just sooo tired. My question is, is there a medication I can take to stop the milk production? How do people stop breastfeeding?

you should slowly wean in order to prevent engorgement....when I weaned, I eliminated one or two breastfeedings and then a few days later, eliminated a few more./ DD was completely weaned in about 2 weeks
good luck and feel better

I agree with this, plus wanted to add if they feel full and uncomfortable try a shower or a warm washcloth/compress. Don't pump to relieve pressure, that will just stimulate more milk. Sorry you had such a hard time, I know breastmilk is best, and for making it almost 2 months- you gave him a great start- but I believe the most important thing is having a happy, healthy and well-rested mommy who can spend as much time with her baby as possible.
