LEXAPRO

Anyone familiar with this anti-depressant? My friend just started taking it and she's doesn't seem like herself anymore. Just wondering if anyone had any dealings with this drug.

TIA

DH takes it. He's really had no side effects from it, it helps him a lot.

Has your friend been back to her dr. since she started taking it? Is she aware of the change in her personality? Maybe the dosage is off?

Re: LEXAPRO

how long is she on it. It can take 4-6 weeks or even longer to kick in right. She may be feeling off if it's early.

I didn't want to say anything to her about it, because I didn't want to hurt her feelings or anything. I think she's been taking it for 2 weeks now.

Re: LEXAPRO

if things don't settle down after another few weeks, let her know that she's different but not in a good way and maybe she wants to talk to her doctor.

Not all these anti-depressant drugs are for everyone.

Someone I know took it for 3 weeks and had to stop. The side effects were just strange. He wasn't himself anymore... very overly emotional, talkatvie, etc

I take Lexapro and it works wonders for me. It could be a problem with the dosage or it could just not be the antidepressant for him/her. That happens you just have to find the "drug" that works for you. Everyone is different when it comes to antidepressants
