Best Brazillian hair straightening shop on LI?
Has anyone had their hair straightened with the Brazillian one on Long Island? Looking for a salon? HELP?

I don't know how good they are, but when I got my hair cut at Cactus on Main St and NY Ave in Huntington today they had a sign saying they did it.

yes i have heard they do it too. would love to chat with anyone that actually had it done there. was also thinking nubest in manhasset but they are more expensie.

Just to let you all know there is formaldahyde (sp) in it. I'm a hairdresser and was all set to take the class then found out about the formaldahyde and decided against it. It's not safe to breath in.and they recommend that you wear a mask while applying it and to have a fan blowing the fumes away from clients. The results are pretty nice but does not make it perfectly straight. so it's more like a relaxing. It only lasts about 3 to 4 months.

the place i go to does it and it is AMAZING... I am doing it in 2 months after this one grows out...

They put Formaldehyde in hair products That is SO completely crazy ........It's a freakin known carcinagen & it's bad enough to breath in when used for it's proper purposes.
I would stay away from this stuff.....sound slike bad news to me.
