Has anyone every heard of a car broker??

If so... please tell me the advantages/disadvantages and/or personal stories you have encountered when leasing a car through a broker rather than a car dealership. TIA!!!

My dad is using one so he doesn't have to haggle with the dealerships. He charges a fee but to my dad it is worth it so he doesn't have to deal with it.

Thanks for the information. The guy I was suggested to call does not charge the leaser any money. Sounds fishy to me...

I went to a personal shopper I guess...not sure it that is the same thing...Advantages are not having to haggle with the dealer..Disadvanges..I believe the woman pushed me to buy a certain car because she was getting a kickback from the dealer! I regret using her and I feel that I didn't know enough on my own and was pressured to buying this car.

I am confused as to how there can be an advantage to use a middleman- someone has to be paying them- and either way it going to be the customer

I have several friends who have used this company and they say they did not pay a dime to the "middleman". They were able to find a car for them at a drastic discount than the dealership. This is the exact reason why I wanted to see who else knows more about car brokers. Thanks all for your input.
