lately i've been getting headaches on my left side above my eye/ear. they've been the type of headaches that feel like pressure building up. i don't want to take any pain medication for them b/c i'm paranoid w/the pregnancy. are there any home remedies that have worked for you ladies? i try sleeping but sometimes its too severe to sleep - help...Chat Icon

Re: headaches

I was the same way earlier in my pregnancy. I would try everythign to not take any medication.

Alternating cold and hot compresses worked the best. But nothing would relieve the pain.

I spoke to my dr who told me that I was silly for not taking tylonol, it has NO affect on the baby.

Re: headaches

I get them lately too - my sinuses are horrendous with all this humidity. I know you're not looking to take anything but usually a glass of Coke and 2 tylenol + some rest helps me a lot. Maybe try the coke + rest first if you don't want to do the tylenol.

Also, make sure you're drinking a TON of water - dehydration makes for some nasty headaches and nothing takes those away except to get rehydrated.
