name change
I was just wondering if anyone knows how to change your name after getting married in the nyc dept of ed?? do u have to go to court street or do i just do it through my school?

Hi,
You have to change your name through both the BOE and the UFT. The UFT will send you a form if you call them. For the BOE, to effect your paycheck, etc..you need to file an OP85 form that you can download on their web site . Hit human resources then look for where it says forms.
Do it yourself, don't depend on the payroll sec, at least I can't on mine!

Also, you need to change it with Albany for your certificates and the city pension system.
