room at Jericho Terrace May 2, 2008 now available
Unfortunatley i had to postpone my wedding and the only way to get some money back is to rebook this date. Its May 2, 2008 at Jericho terrace. please email me at [email protected] with any questions or contact mike klaus at Jericho Terracae with any questions.....SPREAD THE WORD IM DESPERATE!!!
If anyone knows someone who works for a school this would be great to have a prom!!!

Sorry you have to postpone the wedding.
Good Luck getting your deposit back though. I orginally booked that place for my wedding the sunday of memorial day weekend and then we changed our minds after leaving them $1500 and they told us as long as it was rebooked we could get our money back. Well I called and called and nothing. Finally I caleld one day as a potenial client and guess what it was booked and I got no money. So be prepared to fight to get back what you gave them.

If you give them more than 6 months notice they HAVE TO give you back your deposit, less $100...
I went through the same thing, and there were many ladies on here and LIW that helped me with this...
By law they have to return your deposit!

really??? the contract states "if the caterer rebooks the date for equal or greater consideration and the scheduled date passes all funds except $1000 will be refunded, if the date is not booked for equal or greater consideration the catere shall retain all payments made by the customer as liquidated damages and in the event such liquidateed damages are insufficent to cover the loss to the caterer caused by such cancellation the customer consent to suit by caterer in the county of nassau waives the right to trial by jury

when i was engaged the 1st time, we paid them about 2000.
The wedding was called off. It was rebooked, we got no money back either.

Yes. You can do that. When I booked with them, they told me that if wanted to change the date we could and the deposit and any other payments made, would go towards the new date.

we could rebook for another date, but i fear we'll NEVER be able to afford it. We're looking for other alternatives, but if we just push it back another year we'll be added more aniexty and financial issues.
