Good recipes to make ahead of time and freeze?

I want to make a bunch of things that I can easily freeze for when I have the baby. I don't know how much cooking I will be doing in the beginning, so it was recommended I do this.

I am going to make tomato sauce, chili, and some soups. What other things freeze well? Casseroles?

anything that has a sauce
meatballs (I make mine then freeze and then when I want meatballs and sauce, I defrost and plop in the sauce as it warms!)
meatloaf
breaded chicken cutlets freeze well (my stepmom did this for us)
sasuage and peppers
baked ziti

Check out the cookbook rave I posted...it's super suppers and each recipe tells you how far into the recipe you can prep and then freeze!!!

i do stuffed shells... i make a batch ( one box makes like 30 shells). but i don't put any sauce on them. i freeze just the shells stuffed with cheese. when i'm ready to eat them, i just take as many shells out of the freezer as i need for that meal, pour on some sauce, and bake for about 30 minutes.
also, a lot of crock pot chilis really freeze well. you'll probably get two meals out of a batch- so make a batch and split it in half and freeze it. then, just put it in a pot to cook it Chat Icon
chicken cutlets freeze really well- i do this all the time so that i always have chicken when i need it. i just take them out of the freezer in the morning before i leave for work, and put them in the fridge to thaw...
