I think I am ready

I am going in for my second interview for a 3rd grade inclusion class. Today I am meeting with the principal and AP. I am prepared to talk about: differential instruction, modification, clasrrom management (FBA and BIP proactive and reactive strategies, ABC data), the district, CBM and assessments, myself, authors, collaboration.

Anything else.. please let me know.. I am very nervous

Hmmm..
*How does your school district support inclusion (prof development opportunities, prep time, collaboration support)
Q for them...this is a tough one....

Re: I think I am ready

questions for you to ask them:

-what professional development is available to me?
-how do you see me contributing to the school? (why do i want to come here as opposed to another school?)
-how does the special ed. team work together? (i.e. speech-language, psychologist, etc. my school's special educators are a really tight team and they loved when i asked this... they want to see that you want to colloborate with everyone to meet the needs of the WHOLE child?)
-what IEP program do you use? will i get training on this?
-what do the related service providers need me to do to help their goals be met while the kids are with me? (For example, i talk with the OT at my school frequently so i can be conssitent with what she is doing in terms of handwriting, motor skills, etc.
-who does the formal testing if not me and/or who can help me interpret and use the scores? (i.e. Woodcock Johnson)
-What reading program/methodology is used?
-How do inclusion teachers work together in this school (believe it or not, many schools have very different ideas of what inclusion means)

GOOD LUCK!
