Re: would you take a step backwards?
Hmm, I wouldn't do it Beth.
it's almost like a demotion.
You have worked so hard to get where you are at, that from now on you should go up and not down.
just mho.

Re: would you take a step backwards?
It's a demotion (even with same salary).
I would turn it down. I would do it by asking her what the incentives are for you to work for them.
It sounds like it's more a benefit to them than you. I would even question their motive.

Re: would you take a step backwards?
Just not a good move for you for professional reasons. It's tempting, however I don't think you can (or I wouldn't be) happy doing work I am overqualified for.
Good Luck Beth
Any word about the position you were waiting on the headhunter about?

Well.. sometimes in SOME cases, you need to take a step back to move forward. It all depends on the situation.

not in this case- I would be going from manager to assistant
anyway- she emailed me that she still wants me to come in
Hello- I outlined in my email- that I would only come in for the correct level position- she still thinks this is a great oppertunity for me!

Well if thats the case... I would say thanks but no thanks. Thats kind of insulting. Seriously. Im sure you can find something that better suits you. Is the job that you have been waiting on?
