so......
After preparing for 2nd grade this entire summer....
I just got a call from my principal that I will be teaching 5th grade....
Any advice would be greatly appreciated...

I worked in fifth grade for student teaching...
I know they have the Social studies test in Nov
Ela in Jan
And Math in March
What kinds of things do you want to know?

yikes. Well, your biggest thing right now is the DBQ. Get ready to start prepping for that. Also, I would do test prep stuff every single morning. Get them going with that.
