i really like all my rachel ray "30 minute meals" ones.... i don't really like her personality, but her recipes always come out really good!
also, and good basic one is the red and white checkered "better homes and garden" one- has a little bit of everything.

The Betty Crocker Big Red cookbook
Betty Crocker Slow Cooker recipes (I don't like the More Slow Cooker Recipes as much)
Super Suppers Cookbook (LOVE it!!)
I also signed up at kraftkitchens.com for their e-mail newsletter and I get their magazine when the mail it with TONS of recipes

all of the weight watchers cook books are great... cooking light has some great ones also... they dont taste like "diet" food either... really yummy stuff!
