Honest opinions needed
OKay, so I got a call to interview with DDI in Smithtown.
I am worried though....
would it look good on my resume or would it hold me back in the future, perhaps setting me up for only spec ed positions?
The position is for a spec ed teacher....
Thank you for you honest answers!

I worked there for two years in Unit A (residential) and I was an assistant supervisor as well.
FM me if you need more specific info.

Ironically I applied for the one in Huntington way back. But then got my current job. Parallels....

Re: Honest opinions needed
I worked there for 2 years and I believe it helped me get my current position...I am working as a special ed teacher in an inclusion classroom, so I think it helped me receive a special education position (I didn't want an elementary ed position at all after teaching sped) Districts definintely know the behaviors, etc. that you work with there and know that you can handle pretty much anything a student in district would throw at you...The turnover of teachers is pretty high, and most are moving to districts after a few years...HTH
