anyone else heading into hurricane Dean?
I am so frustrated! We have planned to leave on Friday to go to Playa del Carmen on the Yucatan. I am so afraid the beach we are so looking forward to will be wiped out! Anyone else unsure about travel plans because of Dean?

I would try to call the resort by tomorrow - also check tripadvisor.com (the playa del carmen forum) - there are usually alot of people with information on there and sometimes people who live down there will post information after the storm.
Our trip to there was affected by a hurricane two years ago and that was my best source of information and I also called the resort directly.

We called the resort today and they said that everything was fine. We also got some images on various webcams, and things look fine. We feel very lucky! So, Playa del Carmen here we come! I'll let you know how it was when we return!
