Miserable at 35 weeks....help
I am 35 weeks with twins and I have to say I am so uncomfortable that I want to cry. I can not sleep, lie down, sit, or stand without something hurting me.....I am not experiencing any cramping so I assume I am not in labor I just dont know how much more I can take of this and I know there is nothing I can do about it....
Any advice would be appreciated..

Re: Miserable at 35 weeks....help
I am so sorry you are feeling so lousy! I never made it to 35 weeks with my boys, but I can only imagine how much more uncomfortable I would have been!! I wanted to send hugs How about watching an episode of a baby story on TLC? That always made me cry and when I was pg and it made me sooo excited to meet my babies. Maybe it will make you forget the discomfort for a few minutes?? Sorry I couldn't help more!!

Re: Miserable at 35 weeks....help
I know the feeling. I was the same way around then. I had to sleep on the couch propped up because I had bad numbness in my arms if I layed dow, and carpeul tunnel in my hand, I had bad heartburn and bad reflux, and so swollen. Try to just rest as much as possible. This weather today doesnt help. Stay cool ...hang in there...you are almost there

Re: Miserable at 35 weeks....help
ohh gosh, i'm soooo sorry!! i was the same way and use to cry just to walk to the bathroom!
try to rest as much as you can, whenever the feeling comes over you, don't fight it!! if you have to sleep sitting up, do it (i had to). keep your feet up and try to not do ANYTHING. don't worry about if the nursery isn't finished or the dishes in the sink or anything. really.
remember each week you make it longer, the better chances the babies won't need time in the nicu. i know that every week that passed, i felt really excited, despite the pain and discomfort.
good luck!!!! you are truly in the home stretch!!

i was miserable around that time too, felt awful, could barely walk, couldnt sleep but on the couch. try to stay as comfortable as you can, sleep wherever you can, stay cool & hydrated. Remember the longer they are in there, the better for them in the long run.
You are almost there

Re: Miserable at 35 weeks....help
I remember thinking that all I wanted the doctors to do was to induce me early. I couldn't take the itching anymore or the sleepless nights. Before you know it your little ones will be here and you can sleep on your back, your belly - and feel completely feel back to normal!!! Feel better!

Re: Miserable at 35 weeks....help
Ii rememember being uncomfortable not miserable. I like Diane slept on the couch--its easier-there is less room so its easier to stay on your side and not have to roll over or get out of bed like a beached whale... I kind of liked it next to the kitchen--all alone...tv all night...make a way to enjoy it. When I did get miserable it turned out i was in labor and never knew it.

Re: Miserable at 35 weeks....help
I don't know how you are doing it in this heat and humidity and how all of the mommies who delivered last fall did it That's one thing I didn't have to go through.
But yes, I remember leaving work at 26 weeks on a Friday and thinking, good thing we decided on this date (I thought for a long time I could go longer) because by Monday I knew that no way could I have made it another day (I teach high school).
I barely remember my DH kissing me goodbye in the morning as he left for work and then waking up at 10 am to take a shower, shower and having to take a nap after showering I never thought a shower could wear a person out
Let's not talk about the feet
I remember being so tired and just so unable to move I had to rely upon DH to help me get dressed/undressed.
I had an uneventful pregnancy but I still remember just feeling HUGE towards the end. Getting up from the bed or couch was a half hour procedure...ugh. I can only imagine it in the summer.
We've all been there Try to do as little as possible these next few weeks, drink plenty of water and crank that AC. They will be here before you know it
Feel better
