Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico
Trying to decide where we want to go. For those of you who have been to either one. What are the pros/cons, where should we stay/where shoudln't we stay, what kind of activities etc. TIA

I've been to both and I would recommend Puerto Rico.
Maybe it's because PR is fresh in my mind since we were just there in March (went to DR a couple yrs ago), but we loved being able to gamble at night! Also it rained the first day we were there and we were in the casino most of the time, but we like to gamble, so it was a big + for us.
We also liked going to Old San Juan for the day (we actually went twice while there) and being able to walk around and eat outside the hotel. When we went to DR, we were told not to really leave the hotel b/c it wasn't too safe (but again that was a couple yrs ago).
