Movement?? with poll
I am 19 weeks and I still don't think I have felt the baby move. I am starting to worry. My Level II isn't until I am 21 weeks. Should I call the doctor?

Re: Movement?? with poll
Honestly, I was at about 22 weeks when I really started feeling the baby move noticeably. I am sure everything is fine, but my rule of thumb is call the doctor if you are concerned!!!

Don't worry!! My girlfriend didn't feel anything at all until 22 weeks and she's fine!!!! She's moving plenty now! In fact, I felt her baby move over the weekend.

Re: Movement?? with poll
I felt movement at 20 weeks. I wouldnt worry at all, from what I hear most people don't feel it until about 20+, especially with first pregnancies.
I didn't feel flutters more than once or twice, but since 20 weeks I have felt this kid regularly.

i felt the "gas bubbles" around 16-17 weeks. But i didn't feel real movement (some thumps) until after 20 weeks.

I'm jsut over 20 and not sure if what I feel is the baby, I 'm guessing it is but I don't feeli it often...I was expecting to feel it more by now and for some reason thought it would feel different.

Re: Movement?? with poll
I didn't feel the baby until about a week after my level II. I had been concerned about it so I asked at my level II and they said it was normal to not have felt the baby yet. You'll feel the baby soon.

Re: Movement?? with poll
I heard that depending on where the cord or placenta determines if you feel the baby

Re: Movement?? with poll
I felt the baby at about 16.5 weeks. It was right after my 16 week appt when the doctor told me I was too early to feel anything. I guess I wasnt really that early, but I have many friends who didn't feel anything until 20+ weeks.

Re: Movement?? with poll
I actually just said to my mom that I *think* I may be starting to feel the baby. I'm feeling small muscle-spasm type feelings in my pelvic area every once in a while when I'm sitting pretty still. Not positive it's the baby but I think it might be.

Re: Movement?? with poll
i didnt really start feeling her move until after my level 2 at about 22 weeks,.and even now i dont feel her as much as i would like to, but that is because i have an anterior placenta and that prevents me from feeling her as much.....
try having a glass of juice, then 20 minutes later laying on your back, sit still, no tv or radio and press lightly on your belly and see if you feel anything.
that is what i had to do to start feeling her back then, even now at 29 weeks i really only feel her when i am sitting/lying perfectly still - but when i have sonos there she is moving and kicking away!

Re: Movement?? with poll
I felt it around 17 weeks. You probably have felt it but mistaked it for gas or something! I don't feel the baby consistently though, just every now and then. I'm 19 weeks too.
