Maltese?

Is it true that Maltese dogs produce no dander? DH is extremely allergic to cats and dogs. We were told by a breeder that they produce no dander and according to the AKC they are 99.99% hypoallergenic.

Re: Maltese?

Yes that is true. I am allergic also and have a maltese/poodle mix - both breeds are hypo-allergenic. I've never had a problem.

Re: Maltese?

yes, my fiance's sister is also allergic. the vet recommended a poodle (she has one already), maltese, and a bichon frise!

check out this site. it lists some hypo-allergenic dogs. i would also check with your vet.
