Bummed Out
So I did not get the leave replacement school social work position, now I'm going to have to stick it out at my current job (low pay and boring). So if anyone knows of any school social work positions in long island or in NYC please let me know, willing to travel anywhere...

Im so sorry to hear that. I know how difficult it is, it took me four years to get my school SW position.
My only advice is to constantly check on all of the school district websites, stalk them!!! I used to go to Nassau Boces website, click the link to the list of schools. I'd start with Baldwin, and go through every, single district. If something posts, you'll be the first to respond.

Thanks for the advice. Now that school starts next week when do u think it's the best time to look again?
