If you were a college freshman...
Would you make sure you showed up for all of your classes on the first day? Even if one was scheduled at 7 AM?
I am always amazed at the number of students who don't show up for the first day of class...but today was the worst I've had. Only 8 of my 17 students actually showed up!

I was worried about making a good impression on my professors! I remember when I was in college there were people who made it a point not to go on the first day because they said it didn't count or something like that since the professors seemed stressed and there were always lots of adds and drops.

Ok, so at least I'm not the only one. I would never have thought it was ok to miss the first day of class. Especially as a freshman! Oy, oh well. I guess I'll see who shows up tomorrow.

THis post made me have a nightmare last night that I was taking classes and I had to miss my first day and I couldnt get the syllabus and the professor was really upset with me!
