1 year today
My FIL passed 1 year ago today.
DH took the day off. I did not remember him telling me so I asked him why he did. He was very evasive and finally after me being irritated that he was not answering, He told me it was the anniversary of his death. I guess I should have guessed. I am also very forgetful with the baby and everything. Sometimes I don't even know what day it is. DH never takes days-off to pay the bills and go grocery shopping. Really! BUT he never told me that he took off for that reason.
How can I approach this?
What is the thing to do or say in such sad day?

Let him do what ever he wants to do! He will let you know if he wants to talk.
if you do get him talking....you can always telling a nice story about something that you loved about his Dad.
and that you miss his Dad very much also.
