Explain to me this logic (Barnes and Noble VENT ...long)

I waited until the last minute to get back to school books. Barnes and Noble has one copy left of A Fine Fine School...but it was damaged. I asked if they could give me a discount since it was the last copy and they agreed. They gave me 10% off BUT would not give me the additional 20% off that I get with my teachers discount card...they told me it was a teachers reference book I said clearly this is NOT a reference book but a children's picture book but they wouldn't budge because that is the way it comes up in the computer I bought it anyway but I was still really annoyed

That's stupid. I get 20% off ALL books that I say are for the classroom, whether it's picture or reference.

Thats weird...it must be the barnes and noble you went to....I got 20% off "What To Expect WhenYour Expecting" .....Not exactly a school related book but they didn't say anything

That's crazy!

Honestly I use Borders all the time now. I love their Borders Rewards program and I always get a ton of coupons which wind up better deals than the teacher discounts.

Maybe try Borders next time.
