Those with belly sleepers....
are you putting them on their belly or are they rolling over on their own?
I'm debating whether I should try putting him on his belly....I did ONCE for a nap....he slept for 2 hours!

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
DS always sleeps on his tummy. It made a world of difference in EVERYTHIGN about him. He's been able to roll from his belly to his back since he was 3 weeks old. He also prefers his belly to his back. The only time he's content on his back is in my arms eating and even then he's sitting up! He sleeps so deep and sound now that we caved and tried it.

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
At about 5 weeks or so I put her on her belly to sleep and it was the best thing I could do! She couldn't roll over at the time, but she had good neck control. I was so nervous at first but she was just not a back sleeper. She only sleeps on her belly to this day.

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
DS is 8 months, so I just put him down on his belly. Since he's been able to roll over that's what he prefers.

we put her on her belly when she had good head/neck control - but couldnt yet turn over. Maybe she was 4 weeks or so. Makes a world of difference.

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
We put DS on his back and he rolls onto his belly. As I type this, I hear some fussing, he's probably trying to roll back onto his back.

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
Both of my kids have been belly sleepers since about 3-4 weeks old. They slept much better that way, so I put them down on their belly.

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
I let DD sleep on her belly for naps since about 4 weeks. I put her there and would watch her. She was swaddled on her back at night.

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
I started putting DD down on her belly (she couldn't roll yet) at about 11 weeks and she was sleeping through the night. Now that she can roll, she prefers her back or side.

Re: Those with belly sleepers....
I waited until he rolled over. I was too scared to put him on his belly.
But, I will say this...my next child, if he/she prefers the belly, I will put them down on their belly.
