NYC Teachers with GHI-pre-natal and delivery costs to you
Just out of curiosity, if you have GHI and are having or had a baby, what have been your out of pocket expenses regarding medical costs. We're not TTC yet, but we just want to get an idea of costs. Thank you!

I have Cigna, but my husband has GHI. Actually it is GHI/Blue Cross Blue Shield. The Blue Cross Blue Shield is for the hospital. I called Blue Cross Blue Shield to find out costs because my husband is changing his insurance. There is a $300 deductible for the hospital.

I paid $300 total for all prenatal and delivery.

DH has GHI (still waiting to be put on it  )
one of his co-workers just had a baby and said the cost was minimal.

There are rumors of a HIP/GHI merger so any info you get might not be current by the time it applies to you. I have HIP and I paid nothing, ever. All the visits and the delivery were covered, no co-pays.

i paid co pays for songograms and $300 for delivery. I also paid minimal at the doctors office for songograms b/c i had twins they didn't use the doppler. all in all, minimal. good luck
