Re: Question about the Raliegh area of NC
I'm currently in Cary Though just down to look at the area. I think Wake County Schools (the district w/ Raleigh) are pretty good. I'm just learning about the area myself...
I do hear that overcrowding in schools can be a problem because of all of the building.

My friend just moved to CAry last week. She bought a very, very large home (6,000 sf) in Cary Park. The schools are her one big concern. Most of the people in her development use private schools and although she is enrolling her kids, for this year, in public school, she is not sure she will be able to keep them there. BTW, she is a teacher who will be working in the public school system. She was telling me that to alleviate the problem of overcrowding, they have instituted year round school (they go 9 weeks and are off for 3 weeks).

I'm in Johnston County and have heard nothing but good things about the school district. No overcrowding or year-round schools, either. (not yet, anyway!).
