Do beginning of the year assessments depress anyone else?
We have to give all of these crazy beginning of the year assessments to the kids for math and writing...
I seriously think I want to cry after looking at some of these tests!
I know it's the beginning of the year and they may have temporarily 'lost' some of it over the summer, but I still hate grading them!

Yeah...I had kids who asked me to read the questions to them on the 3rd grade math test and they stilled bombed

Yeah. I started my DRAs today, and they have to be scored and recorded on the literacy portfolios by Sept. 28th. I wish I could spend more quality time establishing the routine for the year.

ugh..we dont do DRAs, but do an ELA assessment and a math assessment.
I did math, but have put off ELA.
