3 hour GTT
Can anyone tell me what happens at the three hour? Do I take the drink 1X, then they draw blood once every hour? I am nervous, I was lightheaded after the one hour!

i had to have this done i think you drink it 1x ...then im sure you get blood drawn every hour

you fast from midnight, go in, drink the drink in the time alloted. Oh...first they draw fasting blood...then you drink, they then draw blood every hour.
Then you can go home....I got my phone call the next day!

bring your husband with you for the test and a book. Get there EARLY. The seniors will be there waiting for the doors to open and feel no sympthony for the hungry mom to be. Bring a snack that you can eat as soon as your last blood test is done.
