going to maine tomorrow! :-)
so excited! i work at a school so we haev a long weekend becasue of the Jewish new year, so DH and i decided to get away for a few days before i get too deep into the craziness of the school year!
we're staying in Belfast, which is on the coast, near acadia national park, and we're also gonna hit up the giant LL Bean store in freeport!  can't wait for a few days away!

have a wonderful time! It has been beautiful up there but cool. Where in Belfast are you staying?? We have a summer place 20 minutes away!!!
Perfect time to enjoy the "fall" weather up there!!! Are you driving???

we're just staying at a comfort inn ( dh got one night for free with "points" from going away for work) ... its right on the water though, so that should be nice!
the weather forcast looks good- i'm hoping we MIGHT see some leaves starting the change!
yup, we're driving! and we live in NJ... so it looks like its going to be about an 8 hours drive  but we'll have 3 nights and two full days up there, so should be nice!
let me know of anything you think we should see while we're in the area

I know EXACTLY where you are staying. It is a beautiful view. I highly doubt you will see any leaves changing but you will have crisp nights!!! The drive is not too bad but if I can recommend, leave early in the AM to get out of the tristate & to enjoy your days there. Going to see Bar Harbor & all is going to be a drive but well worth it. There are many quaint shops along the way but watch bc you are out of season, so some restaurants are already closed....Enjoy!!!

thanks! yeah, we're planning on leaving around 4 AM tomorrow, to get out of the NY area before rush hour, and hopefully we'll be up there by noon and get to have at least an extra afternoon up there to see some stuff.
i'm looking forward to some nice cool weather up there! i'll let ya know how it was! thanks again for the help!

Oooo have fun! I love Maine. We used to vacation there every summer in Ocean Park (Close to Old Orchard beach). I LOOOOOOOOVE Freeport!
I would move there too if I could.
