This is all so new...what have you all done at BBQs this summer? What did you eat?

I am thinking of bringing some snacks of my own...just in case.

If you can bring your own food, you can have a turkey burger on WW hamburger bun. I think it's 1 pt. per ounce for the meat and 1 pt. for the bun. Maybe for a snack baked lays. Also why don't you bring a dessert for everyone that is WW friendly that way you won't feel the pressure to eat whatever other desserts are there.

Do you know what the menu is at all? I don't know what day you weigh in, so is it possible to save your points for the BBq?

I would eat some low point things beforehand. Maybe babycarrots or a banana. Do NOT go hungry because you will be tempted to snack and those points can add up quickly!

I often bring some sort of fruit salad with me so that I have something to pick on when all is said and done.

I try and avoid the chips or stuff like macaroni or potato salads because those tend to be higher in points and not very satisfying.

You can always bring along your own hot dogs with you or hamburgers and light buns, I'm sure the host will be more than happy to accomadate you!

Philly Gourmet Sirloin Tip Burgers are 3 pts a piece

Boars head lite, my favorite hot dogs are 2 pts a piece

Light buns are only 1 pt a piece

But be careful, because points can be more if you eat more than one. For example The hot dogs would be 4.5 and the buns would be 2.5.

Me personally, I forgoe all the food and just drink! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Defintiely get these burgers: Philly Gourmet Sirloin Tip Burgers and pick up a pack of light buns. They are tasty and low in points. They only sell the burgers at Pathmark though. I know it is kinda strange at first to bring food especially when on LC it was so easy to eat at a BBQ. You will do great!

dont be afraid to bring your own food.

Also -I always bring a dish for everyone that I know I can eat.

I am on core - so usually I will have salad and and hamburger - or I will bring veggie burgers.

Also - bring fruit for dessert so you know you will have something to eat when everyone else is chowing down on sugary desserts.

I am completely for bringing your own food- it won't kill anyone to throw your hotdog or burger or meat on the grill . . .

Thanks everyone! I am going to bring my own food - but prepared food I decided. Like a tuna salad sandwich and some snacks. Chat Icon
