Where to get SA done?

Hi ladies,
I'm relatively new here, but thought some of you might be able to help me.

DH just started a new job this week. He has to be at his office at 8:30 am. He had an appt with a urologist last week, and was told to have an SA done.

Our insurance uses Sunrise Labs, and the person who I spoke with told me they only have appts M-F between 10:30 and 12. That's out because DH obviously can't take time off from work now and the main lab is too far from DH's office. She also told me he could do it at home, and I could bring it in, but that the sample could only be, at most, one hour old. Again, out since I would have to make an appt to bring it in and the earliest appt is 10:30.

So, my question is if there are any places that have early morning, evening or weekend appts? We're willing to pay for it if insurance won't cover it.

I think Quest has early appointments - the one in Syosset spercifically

Yes I believe Quest only does it in Syosset - that's where I had to bring the sample.

My husband brought his to South Nassau Communities hospital, they have a lab and you have to bring the specimen before 8am. Good Luck!

Did you consider using a lab outside of your insurance? Maybe for this time only if you can find one with early hours.
DH had his done at the RE's office and they allowed for early drop off.

We used Stony Brook Hospital, Andrology lab. They have early hour drop offs. I would give them a call they accept most insurances.

Quest in Syosset, does have early hours, as early as 8am from what I remember.

not sure where your DH works and if this is an option-but my fertillity dr does them in her office and opens at 7am. its in NYC. if you want the address let me know.
