anyone who was on BC pills
I was on the pill for like 9 years and I just got off. I was just wondering how long it took you all to become regular after getting off the pill. I was fairly regular before the pill, so I'm hoping my body will adjust pretty quickly, but I was just curious what other people's experiences were.
Also, did anyone get pregnant right after stopping the pill? I would love to get pregnant ASAP and my dr. told me you're incredibly fertile the first few months off the pill.

Sorry can't answer your questions because I'm in the same boat as you are now. I just stopped taking it after being on the pill for 6years. I was also very regular before hand so I'm hoping I'll bounce right back too. I'm expecting AF sometime next week so I'll keep you informed.

It took me 7 months to get pg. with my 1st and 6 months with my 2nd. I NEVER went back to regular (sorry!). I have horrible heavy periods for 2 weeks at a time. I then re-thought the getting the tubes tied and my dh doing anything. I have decided to stay on bc pills until menopause. I LOVE them and the idea of having light periods for 2 days a month will little or no cramps.
Good Luck-it can happen right away off bc pills though. It took my mom 3 months with me and I have heard people say it happened the 1st month off of them.

my sister was off the pill for less than a month before getting pregnant!!! She thought she would go off and it would take time for her body to go back to normal and get readjusted. She also thought it would take her awhile to get pregnant... the pic below is a result of that.... Image Attachment(s):

I have several friends with "pill" babies - and DH is a pill baby - which was more info than I wanted to know. I went off & kept to the same cycle as before.

My brother is a pill baby too!
I was on it for more years than I can remember. I went off, purposely waited a few cycles and got pregnant immediately (as soon as I figured out when I ovulated). My cycles were back to normal almost immediately, minus the cramping. That didn't come back right away.

I was on the pill and went off it as of this time last year. I was off it for one month and our first try I became pregnant. My OB said I did not have to wait three months once off the pill to start only 1 month...
We know have our precious little boy, Jacob.

I was only off the pill for a week (not on purpose, just didn't fill out prescription on time) and I got pg the week that I started the new pack.

I was on it for 11 years and my AF was regular pretty much right off the bat....I would range from 26-31 days

I got my AF exactly on the 28th day the month after I stopped taking the pill. However last month my cyle was 31 days. We have been trying for 2 months. Its confusing because now I don't know how many days my cycle will be.

I would tend to agree with your Dr. I think your chances of getting PG immediately after going off the pill are very good.

I was regular the first month off- however I tracked my cycle via an ovulation calendar and my cycle was 26 days- not 28. Something I did worked because I got pregnant the first month I tried.

i was on the pill for 10 yrs and just got off last october..
My body adjusted pretty quickly...i'd say within 2 months my cycle was normal- on schedule..

I was regular right away, but only on it for a little over 3 yrs. I also always had VERY regular cycles before going on it - I was the one that ruled all the other cycles in the all female houses

I was really irregular from the beginning of me even gettting my "friend." I would get it in reverse- three weeks out of four and heavy too. My period became regular when I was on the pills for about a year, however the minute I got off, it was back to the usual. I went on a different brand and the same thing during the usage, however when I got off, I only got my period every six months (every woman's dream). Now that I am married and have a regular sex life, my period has adjusted itself to be normal without the help of any pills. My GYN has said that it really depends on the individuals hormones. But Good Luck!
