Past your due date
If you went past your due date, how far would your OB have let you go before talking induction?

My sisters friend was due on Sept 24th and was just induced on Oct 4th.

I am 1 day past my due date now. I have an appointment at 41 weeks where we will shedule an induction if I haven't had the baby yet. I was told they would induce me at 41 weeks if there is a need to (ie:low fluid, etc...)

I was 10 days late with Ella. They would have let me go to 2 weeks.

2 weeks seems like a long, long time away! I will find out what my doctor's philosophy is on monday - anyone know what Dr. Levine in Mineola likes to do? just want to be prepared so i'm not in tears on monday if he says 2 weeks.

Even if you have to wait, you will have to go to the dr every couple of days so they can monitor everything. At least that is what my dr does. It makes the time go a little faster.

Every Dr is different. I have heard all different things from different people. My Dr. would't have induced me until I was 10 days plus late. Some say 14 and some say 7. Some even induce 2 weeks ealry if your chummy with the dr. I've had plenty of friends who's dr's have done that for them and I never understood it.
