Okay - I need help with charting...

I just started charting, in the middle of my cycle, but I figured I should start learning. How the heck do you interpret it? Is there a website that explains what I should be looking at? I am using fertilityfriend.com and really can't find the information I need. Also, what the heck is with CM? How do I figure that one out?

i think for me the best way to start was with reading the taking charge of your fertility book- it covers all those issues in detail.

Yes, it is sooo confusing. I actually did a search on TTC for charts to read others and compare to mine just to see if I was doing it right. I only did it for 1 month and used Fertility Friend, I havent read any books, I prob should. I will be starting to chart again as soon as TBAF starts to pack up.

CM is cervical mucus this is the hardest part of charting I think to understand what is eggwhite, creamy, watery, etc. I still dont know for sure.

Alright, this might be TMI, but is it the stuff that is on TP after you clean up or do you have to go up and find it?

Go up and find it :) It's the only true way :) ..

Some people get mixed up between, arousal fluid and cervical mucus.

They are two completely different things :)

Arousal fluid comes from the vaginal walls, and cm comes from the cervix.....so what's on tp, could be arousal fluid

Basically....ewcm stretches...when you put two fingers together it will stretch..it will be thin and clear or whitish in color

Creamy mucus is thick and lotiony...not fertile

watery mucus ...is thin, a little white at times and doesn't stretch....that's fertile as well :)

Sticky mucus, can be clear or creamy ...and your fingers stick together instead of allowing the mucus to stretch
