2nd IVF cycle (Need encouragement)

Hello Ladies,
Any advice. I went through my 1st IVF cycle in august everything was going well. I produced enough follicles. Half fertilized and put back 3 good embroyos and I got that horrible news negative. I am very scared for the 2nd round because I am already thinkging it is not going to work. Has anyone went through more then one IVF and had success or do you know any positive stories?

My only advice is to stay positive.
Are you doing another fresh cycle or are you going to do a FET???

Sorry about your rough time...I have been through 2 and 1/2 egg retrievals the last one got cancelled as I was on the OR table last weekend the first one failed and I had to start over no embies left so I did it again and nothing then I did a frozen transfer and got pg with twins unfortunately I was unable to keep the pg and lost both within weeks of each other. I am not sure what I am going to do next I am thinking of trying a few IUI's before doing another IVF It has taken a huge toll on me and I need a break I am going on my 3rd year of this and getting tired. But you just need to hang in there maybe ask your RE to do more testing before doing another when I did they found a clotting disorder and added another med and that is when it worked for me good luck

karacg got pregnant on her second and now has a beautiful baby girl.
I know there are others, they just aren't coming to mind.

I went through two rounds of ivf--i am now 6 months pg with my little girl, who is very healthy. Good luck to you!!!

Thank you for writing back. I appreciate your time. I feel your pain it is so disappointing but I know I have to have hope but it is so hard. It sounds like it is a good idea to take a break and try doing IUI's. You mentioned clotting disorder. I spoke with my doctor about that and she told me I did not need baby aspirin but I had two friends that got pregnant and they took baby aspirin after the transfer. I need to get clarification from my Dr. I believe I am going to a good team Dr. Chu at NSUH. I am going to insist on immunology testing and thrombophilia panel.Best of Luck to you!!

She was on lovenox, I believe.
You might want to FM her for more info as she doesn't come on this board very often.

I am so sorry you are going thru this. I know exactly how you feel. I had to do 1 fresh and got pg after my 2nd FET. I too felt like it was not going to work and was thrilled to find out it was a BFP. So there is hope for you. I know there are lots of people who it takes more than one for. Hang in there!
