tenure letter
hi ladies, i am up for tenure this year in my dream job and district.  i have to formally apply again for my job... i have to submit a persona statement, an updated resume, etc. that stuff is easy but i wanted to attach a letter with all my supporting materiaks. how does this sound? i am open to opinions as i just did this quickly:
Dear Dr. XXXXXX:
As you are aware, this is my third year teaching at XXXXXX School and my probationary contract as a teacher of Special Education with XXXXX U.F.S.D. ends on June 30, 2008. Please accept this letter as my intent to undergo the tenure review process.
Attached please find additional documents that will aid you, the Superintendent and other concerned parties in your decision regarding my possible tenure appointment. I have attached photocopies of my permanent teaching certifications and an updated resume. In addition, please find a personal statement detailing my growth as an educator while a teacher at XXXX as well as the contributions I have made to XXXXX School and the district while employed as a probationary teacher.
It is my sincere hope that you and others in the XXXX administration will find that I have, and will continue to be, an asset to the district.

WoW! Sounds great! I am up for tenure this year too! I was not aware there was a formal letter to it. Maybe each school is different.

i don't think the letter is required, but i do have to submit a personal statement, an updated resume and other things, so i figured a letter would be good to put it all together.
