HOw to straigten my hair

I am attempting to let y hair grow out. It is almost there but for it to look good I have to use the hot iron on it dairly. Is there anything else I can do to keep it straight for a few days? I have heard that there is a spray I used use before I blow out my hair. Does anyone know what this spray is?

ALSo , how bad is it to use the hot iron everyday? Thanks so much

I used to straighten my hair everyday, but have stopped. It's definately not good for your hair. But if you get a really good ionic iron that doesn't damage the hair as much, you can get away with it.

I just got a new iron for my b-day and it has made such a difference! I used to have to straighten it every day, but now I can get away with washing it and ironing it every other day. It stays so straight it doesn't even need a touch up after sleeping on it. I was dying to get japanese straightening, but now i think i can live with it. It also takes me less than half the time and it comes out pin straight and stays straight in rain and crazy humidity. I bought my Sedu from Ulta Sedu

Re: HOw to straigten my hair

Make sure you have a GOOD iron. I have the chi, its the best thing ever. Blow it out first and then use the iron. Before you dry and straighten it though, put something in your hair that has a heat protectant. Frizz ease makes a new serum that works really well and protects against heat styling.
Dry section by section, and do the same thing with your iron.
I only wash my hair every 2-3 days when its straight, its VERY bad for your hair to do it every day, and also your hair doesn't need to be washed that often.
On the third day you can put it up or use a headband or somthing if you feel like its starting to look stringy.

The flat iron killed my hair. I would not use it daily! Make sure you have a good one and use something with good heat protection before hand.
